Abstract

The definitions of femicide or femicide may vary depending on the legislation and ideological and/or political positions. The first theories about femicide blamed women for placing themselves in risky situations due to masochistic behavior. Subsequently, some theories about partner violence have been developed, considering that the main type of femicide that occurs is intimate, that is, that which is perpetrated by the husband, boyfriend, date or intimate partner of the victim.
