Bioethical principles and their application in medical-scientific research

Medical-scientific research has contributed for years to scientific progress and provided solutions to many problems, often with discussions leading to the proof or refutation of theories. The bioethical foundations in relation to medical-scientific research take on a role that must be considered vital in the characterisation of results: through respect at all levels, above all the humanistic, as clinical trials have as their object of study human beings with inalienable rights. This work consists of a scientific article of bibliographic review, between 2016 and 2020, in biomedical databases, through bibliographic search engines: Scielo Regional, Scielo Cuba, Pubmed, Lilacs, EBSCO, and the Google Academic search engine. The information was searched on the web and the aforementioned databases were open access. The topic of interest included bioethics in biomedical research, as well as scientific responsibility and bioethical foundations. Thirty-one scientific papers were chosen, which address the following aspects: bioethical analysis of scientific research, the importance of bioethical principles, and the need for bioethics training for health professionals. The development of this work summarises the different positions and conclusions of other articles, seen in other scientific populations, in which all agree with the need for compliance with bioethical principles in biomedical research that take the human being as an element of study, also applied to the improvement of scientific quality.
